There are A LOT of great movies coming out in 2023. From Barbie to The Marvels and more, there’s a lot to be excited about, and one of the most highly-anticipated movies is Dune: Part Two.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve and written by Denis and Jon Spaihts, Dune: Part Two is the sequel to Dune and is the last part of the two-part adaptation of the beloved 1965 novel by Frank Herbert.
In this part, Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) will unite with Chani (Zendaya) and the Fremen as he seeks revenge against the people who destroyed his family and tries to stop a disastrous future only he can predict.
Yes, unlike with Dune, Zendaya will play a major role in Dune: Part Two, as Chani and Paul’s relationship takes center stage.
Timothée, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Stellan Skarsgård, and Dave Bautista reprise their respective roles from the first movie, and this time, they are joined by several new actors, namely Florence Pugh and Austin Butler.
Up until this point, we haven’t seen much of Florence and Austin in the teaser footage for Dune: Part Two, and there was only a viral poster showing Austin totally bald for the movie.
And now, Warner Bros. just released the first trailer, and we FINALLY have our first proper look at Florence as Princess Irulan and Austin as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, respectively.
Princess Irulan is the Emperor’s daughter, and she’s the one that believes Paul is still alive. The Emperor is played by Christopher Walken in the film.
Then, here’s our first look at Austin as Feyd-Rautha, the younger nephew of Baron Harkonnen (Skarsgård) and the planned successor of Arrakis. Obviously making him one of the big villains of Dune: Part Two.
You can even catch a glimpse of Feyd-Rautha and Paul fighting, too.
Also, the cinematography for this movie looks so good, like with Dune. And, including Florence narrating is so good, and I’m sold once again.
Basically, I’m just so excited to see the performances this entire cast delivers when Dune: Part Two hits theaters on November 3.
